Roxbury Planners Fear Traffic Trouble from Warehouse Project on Former Hercules Site

Roxbury officials reviewing a proposal to build warehouses on the former Hercules explosives site in Kenvil are concerned about the project’s potential impact on traffic and motorist safety.

Members of the township Planning Board last week expressed those fears to a traffic engineer testifying on behalf of Hartz Mountain Industries, the company hoping to build 2.5 million square feet of warehouses on about 200 acres off Howard Boulevard.
